Epsilon Labs, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) recognizes the importance of personal information and handles it appropriately in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled in BatterySync (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following information when you use the App.
App Usage Data (Analytics)
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase (Firebase Analytics). Information such as interactions within the App, usage events, device and operating system details, app version, and language settings may be collected automatically.
User Registration Information
The App uses Firebase Authentication for user registration and authentication. Available sign-in methods include email and password, Sign in with Google, and Sign in with Apple. In connection with registration and authentication, we collect your email address, user identifier, and other information needed to authenticate your account.
Battery Information Storage
The App uses Google Cloud Firestore to store, manage, and analyze battery information. This information includes battery status, charging history, and device information associated with your user ID.
Information Provided in Inquiries
When you contact us, we may collect your email address, user support ID, and the details of your inquiry.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to register and authenticate users, provide the App, synchronize data across devices, analyze usage, improve the App and develop new features, respond to inquiries, prevent unauthorized use, and fulfill any other purpose to which you separately consent.
3. Information Management
We take necessary and appropriate security measures, including encryption of communications and access controls, to prevent leakage, loss, damage, alteration, and unauthorized access to collected information.
4. External Services and Disclosure to Third Parties
The App uses Firebase Authentication for authentication, Google Cloud Firestore for data storage, and Google Analytics for Firebase for usage analytics. Google and its service providers process information only as necessary to provide these services.
This information may be processed or stored on servers managed by Google or its service providers outside Japan.
We do not disclose personal information to third parties except with your consent, when required by law, when necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, or when we are legally required to cooperate with a public authority.
5. Retention and Deletion
Your account and data stored in Google Cloud Firestore are retained until you delete your account within the App.
Uninstalling the App does not delete your account or stored data.
Information collected by Google Analytics for Firebase is retained in accordance with Google’s retention periods and our settings.
6. Privacy Inquiries
To request access to your personal information, or to request its correction, suspension of use, or deletion, contact us using the email address or contact form below. We will respond in accordance with applicable laws after verifying your identity.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We comply with applicable Japanese laws and regulations concerning personal information and review this Privacy Policy as necessary to improve our privacy practices.
If we change this Privacy Policy, we will provide notice of the changes and their effective date through the App, our website, or another appropriate method. The revised policy will apply from the announced effective date.
