Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 3, 2026
Epsilon Labs, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) recognizes the importance of personal information and handles it appropriately in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This Privacy Policy explains how personal and other user information is handled in MyCarLogs (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect or Process
We collect or process the following information when you use the App.
Vehicle and Record Information
Vehicle names, model years, odometer readings, fill-ups, maintenance, costs, dates, and other information entered by you are generally stored on your device. This information is not automatically sent to our servers.
Google Account Information
The App uses Google Sign-In when you use the Google Drive backup feature. We obtain the display name and email address associated with the Google Account you use to sign in. This information is used to display your account in the App and authenticate access to Google Drive.
Google Drive Backup Information
When you manually create a backup, the App stores vehicle names, model years, odometer readings, fill-ups, maintenance, costs, dates, and other records in a hidden application data folder created by the App. The App accesses only its dedicated application data folder.
Advertising Information
The App uses Google AdMob. Advertising identifiers and other device identifiers, IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them, interactions such as ad impressions and taps, and diagnostic information about the App and SDK may be collected automatically.
App Usage Information
The App uses Firebase Analytics. Information such as app launches, sessions, device and operating system details, app version, language settings, and other usage data may be collected automatically.
Information Provided in Inquiries
When you contact us, we may collect your email address, user support ID (device identification information), and the details of your inquiry.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect or process to provide the App, create and restore Google Drive backups, deliver and measure advertising, prevent unauthorized or fraudulent activity, analyze usage, improve the App and develop new features, respond to inquiries, and fulfill any other purpose to which you separately consent.
3. External Services and Disclosure to Third Parties
The App uses Google Sign-In to authenticate Google Accounts, the Google Drive API to store and restore backups, Google AdMob to deliver advertising, and Firebase Analytics to analyze usage. Google and its service providers process information only as necessary to provide these services.
This information may be processed or stored on servers managed by Google or its service providers outside Japan.
We do not disclose personal information to third parties except with your consent, when required by law, when necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, or when we are legally required to cooperate with a public authority.
4. Storage and Deletion
Vehicle and record information is generally stored on your device. You can edit or delete individual records within the App. Uninstalling the App deletes the data stored on the device.
A Google Drive backup is created only when you initiate the backup operation in the App. Backups are not created automatically. You can view and delete backups from the backup history within the App.
Signing out of your Google Account does not delete data stored on your device or backups stored in Google Drive. While signed out, you cannot create, view, restore, or delete backups. Sign in again with the same Google Account to access your previous backups.
Uninstalling the App does not automatically delete backups stored in Google Drive. To delete a backup, use the backup history in the App before uninstalling, or reinstall the App and sign in with the same Google Account.
Information collected by Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics is retained in accordance with Google’s retention periods and our settings.
5. Information Security
We take necessary and appropriate security measures, including encryption of communications and access controls, to prevent leakage, loss, damage, alteration, and unauthorized access to collected information.
6. Privacy Inquiries
For requests concerning access, correction, suspension of use, deletion, or other privacy matters, contact us at the email address or contact form below. We will verify your identity and respond in accordance with applicable law.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We comply with applicable Japanese laws and other regulations and review this Privacy Policy as appropriate to improve how we handle information.
When we change this Privacy Policy, we will provide notice of the changes and their effective date in the App, on our website, or by another appropriate method. The revised Privacy Policy will apply from the announced effective date.
